Well, it is 2026. Does anything else need to be said about the year? I'm prepping for my first market of the year and trying to figure out what a successful art-centric/creative life can and/or should look like. I definitely don't have any solid answers, but I appreciated a few lines from Henry Miller today as I thought about it:
"Art is a healing process, as Nietzsche pointed out. But mainly for those who practice it. A man writes in order to know himself, and thus get rid of self eventually. That is the divine purpose of art."
